Need some info about fishing the inside of Holyhead Breakwater as Dragonetts son has been selected for the junior international there

Just trying to post a map of the Holyhead breakwater, snags and typical fish to expect from different areas of the Breakwater but it looks like I've posted it twice and both are to small, never mind first time I've posted a picture, might be the last

The inside fishes best between the last bend & the end in my experience,no need for massive casts,mackerel baits 1 hour after high usually go mad with whiting if they are about,heavy weights not needed unless windy as well,4oz gripper will do most of the time. Most of the weed is right next to the wall,watch out for the ropes in the tide off the lobster pots,big tides see a very big drop in water level so its a long way to pull a fish up but there are steps (slippy). Towards the end is an out crop of rock which is rough but produces conger.

You`ll also get loads of small wrasse on float gear towards the lighthouse,and i`ve had my best mullet from there..4lb 6oz

As with any breakwatery type thingamy jig,the bends are always good spots to fish

Nearly thirty years ago me and a bunch of lads went to fish the Breakwater

.... It was a very stormy night and we changed our minds and decided to try and fish the South Stacks on the spur of the moment instead ... problem was we were all as pis*ed as parrots .... and ended up getting lost, not having a clue which way to turn let alone the direction to try and walk

luckily for us we heard a noise and it turned out to be a gang of Boy Scout and they took us back to our car

The shame of it, still makes me laugh

We will be going down for a couple of days the first week in April to try it out. The actual match is at the end of June
