Just seen the Countryfile forecast and they reckon next weekend will be high pressure/calm but nowhere near as cold

all being well i shall be attending this fish n meet everybodys help is always useful i think i have made most rigs but just in case i have not what rigs and hook sizes do i need

The codling came out early last time at Seaforth beach so any extra distance you can get will help get to the channel....clipped down pennel with 3/0 hooks will be my choice.....it`s a bigger tide this time so we will all be able to hit the main channel a bit earlier....failing that there should be plenty of dabs about which will take smaller hooks 1,2 1/0 whatever you like on a portsmouth or flapper rig......at Hall Rd ,providing you`ve got waders to get back across the first gulley, you can fish a clipped down rig early on then bang out a couple of big baits on a portsmouth rig before walking back across the gulley....the extra distance will pay off early on at both marks...once the tide is near the prom at Hall Rd it`s only a moderate lob needed to hit the gulley.

We shall meet at the car park at 2.30pm.......for those not familiar with the place,go straight over at the bottom of Cambridge Rd and turn left in to the first car park you see...*Do not go to the marina itself*....for any late comers it`s just a case of following the path alongside the marina and once you reach the beach you will see us straight ahead....venues /directions has been updated

How bored am i Getting there from the car park.....back up Cambridge Rd and take your first left on to Brunswick Parade...follow to the end and turn left on to Marine Terrace...after 200yds (bollards in rd) turn right on to South Rd...after 100yds turn left on to Mount Pleasant...follow for 1/2 mile...Pizza shop is on the left just before the mini roundabout

Sefton have rearranged a match due to a clash with the 2 day open....they are starting at 7.30pm til 11.30pm....they usually get around 20 out so if they have from the left end of the car park and everything to the right while we start at the left end of the car park and have everything to the left,we should all be happy bunnies

Yeah if there`s codling about they`ll have it,though most fish seem to be taking lug n squid now
