Fishing Menai Straits

Hi,
Relativley new to sea fishing but hoping to have a crack at Menai this weekend. Someone suggested a mark to me between the bridges but felt quite dangerous before the sun came up as the rock was covered in kelp ans seaweed. Did catch my first bass though so was well worth the effort.

Can anyone suggest any areas where it is a bit easier to fish from the banks of the Menai? Is it possible to fish under Brittania Bridge and is access relatively easy? Any pointers very much appreciated. Would probably by using a lure along the surface as the kelp eats alot of tackle. I also like to use a float if possible.

there is a good choice on both sides of the bridges here is just a few but you wont get away from the rocks or weed menia is famous for snags and kelp the tidal run is also very fast on par with the mersey in places 12+knts

the anglsey side
1/nelsons column (parking outside the grave yard )
2/ slipway on the same side of the above (go through the caravan park)
3/ slipway on the otherside of the bridge( beamarus route take fist right off the ringroad)

wales side
1/ under the bridge.( take the turn off for the hospital you will hit a ringroad head for the m55 take the first right before you go back onto the m55 its a country lane dont drive to quick or you miss it if you have a 4x4 you can get to the bottom under the bridge if not then walk down the steep hill leave your car at the top if its icy/snow/raining dont bother to go down it be hard enough to get back up on foot .)
2/porthdinorwic deep hole (as you head for dinorwic there is a laybye park up here and walk through the trees fish the right side (facing the straights) of the bt post cast is 80yards
3/waterloo rd .( head towards caernavon on the left side is a row of houses and a bus stop waterloo rd is in between them)
