So the pics download quicker,i`ll do the report in 3 stages

Myself and Bren met up with Big Dave,LOL,Dave W and Steve and Mark,by the clown roundabout before having a full English,as we`d need the energy,due to the walking involved for our two marks

First of all,we were after some plaice on the early ebb off Harrison Drive.Sven had been crabbing on Sat,so we had a good supply of quality bait

The weather was superb as we set ourselves up

LOL decided to venture out to the end of the groyne,to gain an advantage

It was`nt long before Sven took a flounder

Dave W took a flounder,before i landed this plaice on a light leger rig

We went for a long walk out to the far bank,where there`s a deep channel,and the prospect of something bigger

Dabs and small codling were being taken by everyone,then LOL landed a baby thorny,which had lovely eye lashes

Steve was baiting up and did`nt notice he`d had a cracking bite

his rod soon banged down again,so it was time to reel in

His first ever smoothound comes ashore

It weighed in at 5-5-0

Ragworm was the killer bait.

Safely returned to fight another day...Well done Steve

Another thorny for Dave W

More dabs for Mark (Our Dad`s next door neighbour)

Don`t adjust your monitor....it`s BDF with fish

We walked back to our original mark,to target the plaice on the early flood,and we were`nt disappointed

Mark was first in to one

LOL takes a nice one too

Yet more fish for BDF...he`s a dab hand at this game.

Dave W nudged up the plaice record with this lovely one of 1-12-0

A cracking day out,and nice to meet Steve n Mark
