Shell Island - Help/advice appreciated.

Hi Guys/Girls.

Heading to Shell Island for a 4 days in a couple of weeks (early June). I went there last year (around the end of April) and didn't have any luck. I was using various spinners at the time.

This time I'm planning on taking some Lug and Rag along with the spinners.

Any tips? I'm planning on going for Bass but im not really fussy just want have a fun few fishing trips, is it to early for Mackerel? Should I take feathers?

For bass, if you go plugging fish the whole area from the harbour all the way to the beach on the far left where the dunes start. There is loads of rocks / boulders you can't miss it. You will need waders as the tide flood to get the lures out. To avoid snagging up just use top and shallow diving lures etc....

tal y bont beach about a mile south of shell island fishes well for bass on the flood after dark to blow lug better with a surf on.
