Wallasey Town Hall steps

Hi fellas. I am from Yorkshire and travel up to fish perch rock quite a bit as its around 2 hours each way drive to whichever coast i go.
I have fished on town hall steps down from the ferrymans pub by the baths there. Only fished this at H/W so far, as someone told me that it was unsafe to walk out to low due to sinking mud etc?
Is this so??, coz just read a post of a guy fishing "town hall" at low water and catching a nice codling.?? Or is this a different town hall to the one that i am asking about.

Kev,

Park at the pub.
Walk down the slipway to your right.
Walk along level with the wall until you reach the first set of steps.
Walk out to the middle of the beach and fish.
Do the same on return.

I see,
So you CAN effectively fish anytime/ hours there? from low to high and back down if u wish?

Safe in front of town hall steps,theres better venues the liverpool side of the river
saves juice,tunnel fare and youre there quicker
