anyone give garlic mussels a try?

ive used them a few times this winter down the pier head on night tides as bait shop was closed and had a few interesting results with the best being a healthy 4lb cod.

I prefer the ones with fresh parsley for fishing. The garlic is too overpowering and if you like to take fish for the table then it can taint the flesh.

the white wine ones dint work but garlic ones from aldi are doin the job, ive done better on the mussel than the bait from taskers, fresh or frozen

I think they can smell the alcohol. I started to use alcohol gel to clean my hands after I baited up and I didn't catch anything then went back to wearing latex gloves everytime I baited up and my catch rate went back to normal.

ive two packs of garlic mussel now so im heading for the high down pier head,, if i can find my long johns , let ya no how it go
