Sprats as bait?

Anyone ever tried these? Thinking of giving them a go. Cheap, plentiful and oily, thread on a hook and bound up with elastic????
I fish because I love to.... not because I regard fishing as being so terribly important, but because I suspect that so many of the other concerns of men are equally unimportant and not nearly so much fun.

I've used them a few times good for whiting and dabs when used to tip of blow black or rag . Quite soft need elasticated cotton to keep them on

I've used them wobbling for pike when frozen with a bend in them, creates a nice action. Don't know if you could do the same for bass :think:
