Complete novice here just getting into sea fishing and coincidently just starting work in Old Hall Street in Liverpool.

I was just wondering if there is any decent marks in the Princess Parade area and what baits/tackle ect I would need?

Hi Pete, welcome.

I think King's Parade, past the Echo Arena, is the closest; Princes is too developed; and you need a POLSAF permit to fish within the dock estate.
Look at the info for Mariner's Wharf, in the venues, for bait, etc.

I don't think you can fish in that area.I might be wrong but I've never seen any reports posted.Nearest mark would probably be Mariners Wharf which is covered in the venues section.

If you look on Google Maps, you will see pilings and the remnants of old liner mooring points- unsafe for even a numpty like me.

I did a bit of course fishing years back, but want to start again, and also try a bit of sea fishing

I now have a grandson who is a toddler, so I want to be able to take him fishing once he he gets a bit older and prove thereis life beyond the XBox lol!

To be honest, the sea fishing seems a bit of a steep learning curve, but I am sure I will pick it up...

As Steve says, I was simply curious what was available local to where I work..I do intend to try other marks, particularly those on the Dee estuary and nearby North Wales coast...
