Myself and Sven arrived just after 10pm,and met Stu n Wendy in the car park The coastguard stretch was already full....is there some local by-law forbidding anglers to fish outside that 20yd area ..you`d certainly think so ...anyway,we broke the law and went to the far left end and got set up
Myself and Sven had`nt blanked with our new rods,so this was gunna be a big test
It was nice to see Stu n Wendy for the first session of the year
We had a drink and a chat for 20 mins as we waited for the tide to make it to the prom....there was still 20yds of sand showing,so i jumped down and launched a pennel rig out....15 mins later and this nice codling of 2-9-0 was beached
I knew my AWB would`nt let me down As you can imagine,i was being called a few names by the others....something about being fortunate and not having any parents was the main theme It got worse 10 mins later when i landed this one of 1-12-0

The hour before high water was the best period,and Sven joined in the fun taking this beauty of 2-5-8
The pressure was well and truly on Stu n Wendy to catch something,and Wendy duly obliged with a monster rockling
Me and Sven packed up just before 1 am...i just hope Stu managed to snare something to save himself from the opps taking on the drive home
**One thing that annoys me at this mark is the dickheads who find the 10yd walk from you car to the prom,just a bit too much and have to drive on to the prom itself,or the paved area...FFS what`s wrong with your legs If the paved area gets damaged,who will get the blame yeah us anglers......it`s one of the easiest marks to fish so don`t ruin it
stu you are getting out fished everytime by wendy stay at home and do the washing and ironing and leave the fishing to wendy who knows how to catch fish good laugh /and company once again and fish to boot hey wendy/kev
do you need a scaffold i can supply and erect tube and fitting/mobile fixed pasma scaffolds
