Fresh worm, blow or yellowtails will work well for bass...razor is always a good bait just after a good blow.On my recent session i managed to take a 9lb huss on a squid n sandeel wrap, though i believe that to be far from the norm, though it`s always handy to try 2 rods with varying baits on a new venue.
As ever when fishing from low water,be aware of the channels filling in behind you, especially the one 80yds out which is also pretty muddy, though not dangerously soft....beaches change all the time so always have a proper recce on your arrival.
Parking is not straightforward,at least from where i fished,as all surrounding roads by the seafront have "resident parking only" signs displayed....we managed to park tight to a grassy mound at the bottom of Glascoed Avenue, and from there it was a hop over a 3ft wall and on to the steep shingle.
