Fished about 4hrs up /1hr down on Saturday evening.had 2 rods set up ,one with a 4/0 pennel rig ,and my bass rod about 4o or so yards out .had a two hook flapper rig with size 1 & size 2 on it .bait wise ;bluey,squid ,frozen lug &prawns !
Anyway ended up with near on a dozen whiting ,three of which were plump as hell (thought they were codling when hoisting them up !)the rest were split between average and small.
All bar one came on the flapper rig fairly close in on ,small baits of bluey tipped lug.
Evening slightly tarnished ,however,while I was setting up some guy -a fellow sea angler as it happens- was returning to where I was ,with a bag to collect a full rig ,lead n’all ,which had been carelessly left behind on the bench next to me.his had daughter picked it up !!
Not too difficult to scan your mark before you leave is it !!good luck
