High by the Town Hall Steps

Blustery day but with the high coming at 1200 an early start was on the cards. 2 of us fished identical tactics - a 2 hook flapper and a pully rig each - we cast out and waited.
Nothing happened in the first 2 hours then a knock came to my partners rod just before high. Nothing came of it. Unfortunately I managed to land a little flat on the pully rig as I was going to change bait. Same happened half an hour later with a better flattie on the top hook on the flapper.
Somehow managed to repeat this on the next bait change with another of the pully and then one on the bottom hook.
Packed up 2 hours after high with 4 fish between us and not a Whiting in sight.
Couple of chaps had similar results with reports of a few small whiting and a codling coming out. Hard fishing but worth getting out.
