bait fresh black from JRS southport fished from 1 45 to 5 pm high at 3 45 strong run on incoming tide which takes a while to get so far up the river ended up using a running ledger and single hook started with 3 traces and a breakaway but no bites and a snap off with my new reel prompted the change of tackle got a flounder just around high and another one before i left. End tackle covered in thick black mud on the retrieve until the tide got high and running faster think best time to start fishing here would be an hour before high cheers mick
