also had a carp rod with lug close in hoping for a bass patrolling the shoreline,
first cast into the water at 3:30 and into fish straight away, although disappointingly only a dogfish, this was followed by a dab close in and this was repeated for the next couple of hours

around an hour before low struck a bite and felt something far more substantial on the end, seemed a dead weight on the end so suspected a ray, however this little entanglement surfaced

2 had taken the hooks on the pennel & the other one had just got itself tangled up whilst trying to rob the squid out of the other dogs mouths. greedy little git.
the dogs and dabs continued unabated. didn't look like i was going to hit any hounds, however as the flood started proper managed to land a small one.

he was followed on the next cast by another one, again only small.

another dog and a dab and then the final fish of the day another small hound.

final total was a dozen dogs, 8 dabs & the 3 hounds, hopefully the bigger hounds will show up for my next visit
