Everyone started to arrive and after a chat and a drink we made the peg draw and headed to our pegs but the app I used for the tide times was way out {sorry about that} and thanks to Rob and Dyl For pegging it for me so we ended up fishing 3 down 1 up as it was because it was a small tide we still had plenty of water in front of us so at 2.30 all in was called it was slow to start but then after about 30 miniutes the first fish was landed a nice plump flounder for Stu Davies a sigh of relief fish are there but it was still quiet for the rest of us ,Then steve atkinson had a good bite with what looked by a decent fish but it turned out to be a big silver eel which didnt count towards the match but was a good eel . then I had a flounder of 35 then fish started to be landed further up the beach with Chris James pulling in a cracking flounder of 45cm .
As the tide turned this brought a few more fish on the feed and a few more anglers started to catch the last hour was probably the best hour of the match with a few anglers catching 2 fish .
I decide to finish a bit early to go back to the van and get the food on the go ,so I left the rest of them on the beach ,as everyone else started to return to the car park the pile of cards started to grow so once everyone had packed away the food was ready .
So once everyone was eating there beef stew and crusty bread followed by a nice big fresh cream cake provided by Rob turner cheer rob I ate mine when i got home it was lovly I turned my attention to the results.
First place on the day went to Chris James with 2 fish for 79 cm, £50 his 45cm flounder making the difference.
Second place went to Richie Fisher with 2 flounder for 76cm, £35.
Third place went to Stu Davies with 2 fish for 71 cm, £23.
Fourth place was a 3 way tie with Garry Swift.Dave Radclife and Steve Atkinson all having 2 fish for 70cm.

A massive thank you to everyone who sponsored each of the biggest fish pools .
I would just like to say a massive thanks to everyone who fished in the league this year and to the lads who sponsored the fish pools .
I would also like to thank Dyl for starting the league going and for helping out when he could and thanks again to the 2 Dave's for supplying fresh worm for each match I know it was tricky for some matches.
It was Also great to see some new faces at the matches which was great and that they were all made to feel very welcome and they all enjoyed it which is what makes this group different from some others out there .
I hope to see as many as possible at the upcoming Winter league which is open to anyone and would be good if we could get a few juniors involved so spread the word It starts in 2 weeks on Sunday 22nd October at perch rock .
