Derby pool

Met up with Brian for a session at derby pool today late afternoon early evening never fished it before but with Brian’s local knowledge we set off on the long walk to fish the flood very quiet session with just one plaice caught,oh well we will try again ,it was good to catch up with Brian a good lad with great knowledge im sure we will arrange some more outings to distant shore’s,thanks Brian.

Stan it was a pleasure
And the 1 plaice was Stans success . They must only be just starting to show with it being that slow ?
But the one you had Stan was a good size and thick / Normally they are thin and watery after winter spawning.

Ill giving it another go Monday morning before work. then maybe some late short 2 hour evening sessions.

As I have said company and fishing is good all-round so long as it stays just pleasure fishing . which brings me to the Wirral and further a field .
Some good fishing with short walks and a fishing time of around 2-3 hours during the day may well suit a lot of anglers ?

So maybe this could be something that could get started on here

Sounds good.. I ll be honest i had lost interest this winter... too wet and windy to risk £25 petrol + food and bait etc... I don t want to suffer it s supposed to be fun... but now there is a glimmer of better weather i m revved up again.
