I’d hoped to have been fishing by 8.30 but leaving the house late and needing to pump a few of these it was 9.30 by the time I got a bait in the water.
The action was slow/non existent but I was kept busy keeping my wits about me as I knew before I set out I’d be standing in 12” of water by high tide.

High tide came and went without event. I had to fish it down to give my return route chance to reveal itself again.
I made what was intended to be my last cast at 1.40 with a plan to call time at 2. Bang on 2pm my rod tip burst into action for the first time in 4.5 hours giving me this little silver to save the blank.
It would have been rude not to have had another cast, so I did. I needn’t have bothered though. I packed up 15 mins later and headed back to the car.
It was tough going again today and with the conditions I might have hoped for more. I got chatting to another angler during my session and he said there had been someone trawling quite close in and that someone has been netting down there too. I’m sure that’s not helping the fish stocks. Hope they have the appropriate licences.
