Treaddur bay sunday

byOut in Wales to close the cabin for the winter, decided to head to treaddur to try for some coalies, took a set of feathers and a joey to chop up for bait, fishing and hour after low up.size 4 hooks on feathers, 1/4" strips of mackerel first cast, gentle bite not a coalie? Pulled into it and after a tussle landed my first ever blonde ray, a male about 3lb. Cast again , similar bite, slightly bigger fish.two casts, two blondes on baited feathers, third cast rod bent over nearly pulled out of my hands could tell it was another ray but much better fish, this one straightened the hook on the way in. Next cast was original target, coalie about 8oz. Bait all gone, headed home decent hour fishing.

I’m guessing that the Rays where SE Rays though but still a great catch

Yes, after checking the photos realised they were small eyed, caught off sand lefthand side of beach about third lampost on the prom from the road
