Round 03 Report and Result Talacre

Round 3 result and report.
Round 3 saw 20 anglers turn out for our first visit of the summer to talacre,
Everyone was booked on and ready to go by 12 and we made the walk out some opted to take the short walk and set up at the end of the dunes and others made the very long walk to the far right with the rest of us in-between. The fishing was good overall with 163 fish carded with 8 different species but seemed to be very peggy the whole stretch of the beach. There were a couple of seals up and down the beach maybe more which may have had an impact as they took a couple of fish of people up and down the beach.The weather was fine but was a little windy but at least the rain missed us. The dominant species of the day was dog fish with 84 carded there weren't as many hounds as I expected but 39 were carded with the biggest being 88 cm but most were in the 65 to 75cm .we saw 5 Huss,3 rays,3 congers and a small tope of 57cm landed. Soon enough it was 6pm and all in was called and the long walk back to the carpark.
While everyone had a chat I totaled up the scores and as the rain started to spit we did the presentation quickly before we all got wet.
Taking the win on the day was regular Dylan Kensall with a cracking card of 21 fish for 912cm well done Dylan great fishing.
2 nd went to Dave Radcliffe with 14 fish for 699cm .
3rd was shared between Gary swift and Tom James both with 636 cm.
5th Will Mclintock 635cm
6th Adam Roper 613cm
7th David Andrew Lunt 503cm
8th John Waugh 489cm
9th Dave Roberts 465 cm
10th Brian Roper 437cm
Biggest hound was Tom James with a hound of 88 cm.
Biggest fish other than a hound went to Dave Radcliffe with a 85cm Huss.
The extra pool was for most fish carded and went to Dylan kensall with 21 fish.
The golden peg this week was number 12 Dave roberts but he didn't manage to win so it will roll over to the next match.
Well done to everyone who made the trip and especially to the winners with some great fishing.
The next match will be on the 29th of June at perch rock and with plenty of hounds in the river this should be a good one I will probably miss this one myself so Dave Roberts will be running it but I will put a preview up the week before.
