Mostyn 29/08

Post by AndyE »

With a half day off and smallish mid-afternoon high tide I decided to head out for a few hours at Mostyn. Arrived and tackled up close to the ship end, maybe 100 yards back to avoid the snags, baits in a couple of hours below low. Nice sunny afternoon, bit windier than forecast with probably 15-20 mph from the west.

Well what can I say, not a bite! Through all the various frozen baits at it but pretty much all coming back like new. Gave it an hour of the flood then packed in.

Despite the fish not playing ball it was a nice chilled session. Was mentally planning the next one as I wandered back to the car!

Thinking West Anglesey in a couple of weeks.

Cheers

Andy .
It's a strange time the likes of perch rock / vale park / Mostyn / rock channel spots are for some reason not fishing as they normally would .
but if you move to a near by spots they are producing. especially the thornback ray fishing .

Likes of Morrisons / T groyne / Derby pool / Hoyle are fishing quite well and consistent

West side of Anglesey is my next target along with Dinas Dinlle

Cheers Brian .
