Round 3 report and results

Round 3 saw 19 hardy anglers turned up for this one. We all met up in the fort car park and got booked on. It was great to see a couple of people who hadn't been able to fish with us for a while. The weather couldn't make it's mind up with periods of rain and a bit windy at times. Once everyone had booked on we made our way to the beach surprisingly there were no pleasure anglers on the beach so we all spread out from one end to the other. Fishing was slow but steady with mainly small whiting and dabs, this was to continue throughout the match with most having one of each on their cards it was going to be a close result . With the end of the match looming the weather started to look like we were in for another soaking but luckily it held off so back to the car's for the results and the secret Santa we were going to move up to the prom for the results but the rain held off and we managed to do it by the car's,as I predicted it was a close result with only a few centimetres separating the top 10. On the day it was the ever consistent John Waugh who took 1st place with a flounder and a whiting for 65cm. Dave Roberts took 2nd with 63cm. Roy Schofield showing he's still got it taking 3rd with 58cm and 4th place was a tie with Jordan Roberts, Richie Fisher , Robert Turner and myself All with 57 cm. 8th Gary swift and Dylan Kensall with 56cm

10th Dale Edwards and Adam Roper with 54cm.

Biggest fish was Dave Roberts with a 37 cm whiting.

Smallest fish went to Will Mclintock with a 15 cm whiting and taking the Xmas for most species was John Waugh who had 4 species so with results done it was on with the secret Santa which was great to see that every gift on the table was wrapped so it was definitely a secret Santa so we rattled through as quickly as possible and finished just before the rain started.

Which sent us all heading to the car's. I will put up the current leader board and the updated match schedule before Xmas.
