Round 4 report and results

Round 4 saw 20 of us turn out for this one on a wet and windy morning but as everyone booked on the rain stopped and when we got on the prom the wind wasn't as bad as in the carpark so we all got set up some opted for in front of the car park and some opted to go down to just before the anchor and the rest of us in-between we started the match early as everyone was ready so at 12.15 All in was called we all cast out and waited and waited then I had a bite and landed the first codling of the season a monster at 23cm so as least we knew they were there. Fishing remained slow throughout the match with the odd whiting and dab being caught. Halfway through and there were a couple of people with 2 fish and a few with 1 and alot with none. With about an hour to go Yuri looked like he was leading with 3 fish and Dave Roberts had a decent whiting and a good dab and Jordan next to him was still struggling to find a fish it was very patchy and very few fish around even as darkness fell it didn't really improve much soon enough it was the end of the match and back to the carpark for the results and just as we got back the rain started and the wind picked up so a quick tot up of the scores and the results were in 1st on the day was ever consistent John Waugh who's 4 biggest fish gave him a total of 103cm, just beating Jordan Roberts who did well in the last hour who took 2nd with 102cm. Yury Kazlouski took 3rd with 99cm with John Forrester taking 4 th with 94 cm

Biggest fish was Rob turner with a 31cm whiting

Smallest fish was split with yurt and Dave who both had a 15 cm whiting.

The golden peg was number 3 which was Jordan Roberts who was so close finishing 2nd so it carries over to the next match.

So not a great days fishing but at least the weather wasn't as bad as it could have been so let's hope it improves for the next match on the 25th
