Myself,Dave and Paddy got to Ty Croes around midnight to be greeted by a very cold north easterly wind which was blowing across us.....fishable but awkward and cold on the old fingers
When the wind`s in the east, the fish bite least........pin whiting did`nt mind and they were hooking themselves early on....i`d say they were rattling the rods, but you could`nt tell in the wind
An hour before low saw the first signs of what we came for when Dave took this nice little spotted fella
It was back to pin whiting for another hour before i took this thornie
The wind dropped a little as the tide turned, but the fishing did`nt improve more whiting, plus 1 dog n dab combo for me....Paddy was concentrating on whiting and had a baby codling, but it was Dave who had the last laugh with another small thornie
We called it a day, just after 5am and headed home
