Picked Dave W up and headed for the T-groyne,where we were joined by Neil Price.....we were able to cross the first gully at 4.20pm and made our way out to the black buoy.....we were soon joined by LOL who was moaning about how far we`d walked i think that`s the trick,as it`s worked for me and Paul Tucker too (moaning,i mean ).
4 of us cast out and Neil was soon battling with his first ever Starry
He has`nt been fishing too long,and after reading our reports he decided to join us.....it should take a couple of weeks before he stops smiling
Me,Dave and LOL walked over to assist in landing Neils hound,but LOL`s rod was dragged out of the stand he ran to his rod and pulled in another nice Starry
Looks like we timed it right,as mine and Dave`s rods were also bouncing
Dave`s was the best at 8-13-0
Sadly the hounds then disappeared,but the rays moved in good style
Another first for Neil,with a nice thorny
A few more small rays came out,then Dave took the honours with this beautifully marked 8lber
Neil also took a rare flounder for this mark...
The rays kept coming
My best ray went to 5-3-0

I had to leave at 7.30pm due to work,but just before i went LOL took the biggest Starry of the session with this 9-3-0 beauty
Lee and Gaz also took plenty of rays....LOL and Dave stayed on a bit longer,so maybe they had even more fish......another great session

hope you have chesties mate, and it is a fair old walk to the mark, its a good half an hours slog, it would be better and more importantly safer to go with somebody who has been before

I didn't cross the gully at crown about, I walked down more near the double slipway and didn't need to walk in the water! thigh waders more than enough.
Honestly I wonder crossing the gully at crown about is really faster? walking in deep water is much slower.
