I've heard its someone like the forestry commision (or similar) who have put the money in and are assuming control.

Regarding carp, the pool was mentioned in a guide to carp waters (was it by maddocks or Nash) in the 80's, and I know a few locals claim to have fished for, and caught them. Its an old pool but there have been many clubs and anglers whom have helped themselves to the fish when caught, my reckoning is that there are some big old dogs in there, and its hardly been fished for years!

forestry commision own it 8) hope they stock it ,there is some nice perch in there ,and some monster eel's ,but a few years ago there were thousands of roach and they seemed to of dissapeared (thought some one had swiped them or the cormarants got them  )but hopefully now they've put the effort in to the place it will be a little better looked after .how do the forestry comission plan on running it day or season ticket

Harsh Kristof!

Many thanks to those of you whom have made me welcome, I will ignore the blatant character assassination attempts by the man my 4yr old refers to as 'MR GRUMPY'.

Big rudd in the overflow too, however the cormorants have been feasting there since the mid 80s, one of those places where the words 'I am deffo putting some time in there ' have been getting said by me for the last 10 years!

But someday soon!
