Myself and Kevin agreed to Pike fish the drains all day today in search of his 1st pike on deads when i saw the weather this morning i must admit i was not as hopefull as Kevin was it was p**sing down and normaly Pike and rain don't mix but we carried on and i was the first to slip down the sodden bank nearly ending in the drains myself we got fishing as we got wetter & wetter and i put Kevin in a good swim and i fished to the left of him whilst talking him through the do's & don'ts etc etc then at about 09.15hrs Kevins float went for a little dance along the drain and Kevin had that expression " what the hell do i do now " after calming him down and talking him through every stage he landed a cracking 8lb 6oz Pike and the smile on his face said it all well done Kevin sadly that was the only Pike Kevin caught today but i went on to catch a 3lb 2oz and a low double Pike of 10lb the fishing was hard going and weather conditions where against us but with some thought we managed to pull 3 out between us
