Thistleton No1 Pond 31.08.07

Post by Shacky »

Had a few days off work this week. So i thought i would go and give Thistleton a bash :P
I dropped the Mrs off at work and was at the pond by 6am  . Took two types of bait with me today, Pellets & Prawns
I chose the same peg as last time. As my favorite spot is well overgrown with trees and fishing the pole would be difficult.....

As soon as my first bait hit the water, i was into fish 8) . This continued for most of the morning...........I did try the prawns, even they produced. But i think i will stick with pellets :)
I managed most species of fish. No specimens :( ....Typical...as i was geared up for them.
There was plenty of these fellas.....

And a good showing of these.....

Crusians came later on.....

This tiny chap must be the smallest carp in the pond  .....

Hybrid, first one iv'e seen in here.....

The fishing was pretty good. Its a shame we have the Keepnet ban...but laws are laws. There were a few others fishing, going all out with Bread for Carp, a couple were caught. But pellet and pole was king.....

For you pole-shot fans  .....

I packed up at 12noon....Picked the Mrs up again. Then home for bacon butties :P
Got a Sea Match tomorrow.......Lets hope thats as productive.
