ADULT & JUNIOR COARSE MATCH SUMMER 2008 - ANYONE INTERES

Post by dazthefish »

As you may or may not know myself and chris at mac have been running the sea adult & junior matches for a few years now with great success , would anyone be interested in a coarse version around wirral in summer 2008 , if we can get enough interest early we may be able to get sponsors and get it sorted , its a great day out for all , must be 1 adult & 1 junior under 16 per team , held on a sunday or maybe 2 if theres enough interest.

hi dave , lingmere is an ideal location the only problem we might have is room , the match lake only has 20 pegs thats only 10 pairs , we might have to hold 2 matches and have a final

thats the problem you will find all over daz, apart from the canal the most you will fit on 99% of venues is about 20-25 pegs, the series of match's i run has to cap it and then have a reserve list for those that have to drop out at the last minute

have you thought about using a canal venue,or what about one of the wirral parks...how many pegs are on those

the canal is not an option dave , kids need to catch fish or get bored nowadays , the match lake on the parks is still closed until at least june , lingmere is the best option i think .

you could fit in 2, 3 hour qualifiers in one day, with an hour to swap and get set up, first say from 9-12 then the second match from 1-4.

have the final the next week

the only problem with this is the added cost of having to fish 2 match's, plus steve might not have the lake free for 2 weeks,( ive booked the whole lake for the 29th of june so you cant have it that day  )
