I have a Century CM (not the latest CM + or SRE or whatever, a standard CM ), got it when it first came out for around £ 200 + a load of freebies from Chris Webb in Blackpool.
I went in and said I need a rod to put some yards on my cast, he said this one will put 20yrds plus on your cast no problem, ok, pinch of salt time, but I bought it anyway and I love it, I can cast further with it, I now get 50 yards instead of 30, so it did put 20 yards on my cast.
It casts 6oz for me with my gentle lob no problem, bite detection is good and I like the way it is nice and thin.
Very forgiving rod.
