visited partridge lakes today , my first time for a few weeks , the weather was terrible 30 mph winds and heavy rain to start , i chose my peg on willow as you can nearly always get out of the wind thanks to conifers most of the way round , armed with just red maggot & caster the first 2 hours were tough with just small roach and skimmers but as the wind droped in the afternoon i could present my maggot bait better and in the last 2 hrs 12 nice f1`s to 2 lb came just off the bottom along with some quality roach to 12 oz , not to bad for a raw january day and a few maggots , definatly worth a visit i say , go to www.partridgelakes.co.uk for a look
