Match Report: 2nd Round of N.W.A.S.A.C. Personal Members Championship 2008, Sat 8.3.08, Llandudno North Shore, North Wales (37 rods).


As darkness fell, a big flood tide brought the fish on the feed with whiting and dogfish the main species on offer. Conditions were perfect with this north facing bay proving shelter from the stiff, cold wind and all of the 37 competitors caught fish.


While most anglers persevered with the shoals of small whiting, Team Wales’ Jamie Pickup scored a convincing win by beaching 4 dogfish in the later stages of the match; match organiser, Richard Burrow was runner up, with the points calculated on a length to weight, measure and release basis.


Jimmy Kelly’s fourth place was enough to give him the series lead at this early stage in the championship.
