Bait for Bank Holiday in Dinas

Any advise on what bait is best for fishing at Dinas this coming weekend? How easy to get yourself? Are there any tackle shops nearby. When to fish any information grateful. Will I be having bass on the barbie for tea on Saturday with my Bud?

Venues section might give a couple of clues.....nearest tackle shop is in Caernarfon

I beg to differ at Dinas....blow lug does very well,some do well with rag but you have to pay for that....

try live sandeel with lug/blow/ragworm wrap tipped off with mackrel and salted squid .all tied onto the back of a live edible crab

no weight needed the crab will search the sea bed out for the fish

Agree with kev - from in-situ experience - blow lug does the business, present it well by baiting up with a bait needle.

Kev is spot on. Dinas is a natural surf beach, lugworm is the number 1 bait on these venues. Crab will pick up fish but nowhere near as good as worm on a surf beach. Anyone who disagrees has either never fished the place or.............................................dont know what they are talking about

Baiting up with lug being fiddly is exactly the reason why you do use a baiting needle
