Venues in tomtom

Post by spudgun »

Shore fishing marks for your SatNav covering the Lleyn Peninsula, Anglesey, North Wales, Wirral, Liverpool and Flyde Coast.

Download the fishing marks Points Of Interest (POI) files here:
They are available for TomTom, Garmin, Navman and MOIMap Satnavs.

Just download (right click and "Save As...") the latest .ov2 or .csv or .upd and .bmp files for your make of SatNav and copy them into your SatNav.

tomtom

Garmin

MOIMap

MOIMap Fishing Marks-v20.upd
MOIMap Fishing Marks-v20.bmp

Navman

All these marks and more can also be found on the Wirral Sea Fishing Reports Map.

For TomTom:
Connect your tomtom by USB to your computer
Copy and paste the .ov2 and .bmp files to your map folder. (Usually "X:\UK_and_Ireland").

To use the fishing marks POI on TomTom:

Tap the screen to get the main menu then tap "Navigate to..."

Image

Tap "Point Of Interest"

Image

Tap "POI Near You"

Image

Tap "Fishing Marks-v00"

Image

Then either scroll down and select the mark you want or tap the find button to type in the mark you want.
Note: on TomTom you will not be able to scroll through every mark.

Enjoy and let me know if you get lost. ;) :D

Hi Spudgun.

Lots of hard work gone into doing this set of locations, very much appreciated by all, I'm sure

Great resource, but I found the TomTom links didn't work for me, said the page was unavailable

But, by working backwards, I found this one works  at least for me!

http://ns1.justhostme.co.uk/~browsedc/f ... ks/TomTom/

Just click the links that come up on the page, and save the file.

Loaded it into the Tomtom, now just have to figure out how to use the thing

Haven't been fishing for near 2 years due to health and new babies, (that's why there's only been one prvious post), but hope to start again soon, will be posting as soon as I can get out.

Cheers all
Bob

Nah. That's probably the address of the pikey that hacked the maps for you. ;)

I can't find anything to help you sorry.

I think Sony use an xml file but I don't think you can upload POI. If you find that you can try POIedit to convert the marks to the file type that you need.
