Mackerel in north west ??

Hi, My wife and me have caught the fishing bug after going mackerel fishing while on holiday in Brixham last year and would like to know where is the best place to go near us.
We are in Preston and the venue needs to be easy to get to as we will be taking the kids too.

llandudno pier is probably your best bet,

but id get a shifty on as they wont be there much longer.
