Off to Anglesey

Hi All
Iam going to Holy Head, Treaddur Bay end of March, i have never fished there befor. Any advice about bait, rigs, where safe to fish would be great,she who must be obayed will be in tow, 1st time sea fishing.may the lord be with me.

The breakwater will guarantee fish to keep her interested...fish the inside with small fish/worm baits....better off there than on a rock mark for a first timer.

kevs got it spot on really for a first timer you better off fishing the breakwater

rigs one up one down 1/0 hooks if you keep getting bites and missing them then scale down to smaller hooks same as one up one down you dont need to cast far as the fish is right down the wall fish baits will get you dogfish, worm baits will get you dogfish ,squid will get you dogfish,
peeler will be a bloody waste because again this will get you dogfish
closer to the wall you will get all the small species and the chance of a few strap conger (obviously you will have to scale up to bigger hooks and fish baits for these running ledger rig best used for the conger .)

now were to fish

best fishing is on the outside wall on the second bend BUT fishing here is very snaggy and is a tackle grave yard but very productive
or you could go right to the end of the breakwater and fish the left hand side also snaggy in area,s and difficult to get a fish up and over the wall .to be honest i would not bother to fish these with you taking the mrs for the first time fish the inner wall either on the first bend or drive on to the green light were you could fish anywhere upto 90yards from the right or left of this light snag free
