Now that my pole has been broken in,i`ll be after some tench/bream at Hall Lane in the morning 8) It`s many moons since if fished the canal, but hopefully the bream/tench are creatures of habit, and still mooch around under that bush,by the bridge...you know the one i mean ;) ...i love this holiday lark...i get to have a good lie in,but still get on the bank by 5am 8)

It`s in Maghull....the Leeds Liverpool is supposed to be £2 a day, though i`ve never seen a bailif there in 30 years....it was carp this morning :? water was gin clear...gave it from 5.30am til 7.30am ...not a sniff,so i went back to Walton Hall to save the morning, and could`nt believe that the small lake was empty  so i got in the hot peg and knocked a dozen commons out 8)

kev the old glory days of hall lane have gone with very little boat traffic down that end the canal its often to clear and although good fish are there they are harder than ever to catch

try up by the saracens head for good carp catches ;)
