Mariners Wharf

Post by merseyparadise »

Where is your preferred spec? I'm heading back down there tonight. I've only fished it three times. Once on the Snaggy bit as it was packed...once by the steps and once to the right of the steps. Is the bullnose any good?
I fish because I love to.... not because I regard fishing as being so terribly important, but because I suspect that so many of the other concerns of men are equally unimportant and not nearly so much fun.

Bullnose is usually the first place anglers will set up,but you must be aware of the boats coming in and out of the dock....over the other side( walk over the small dock bridge) is pretty good too,and often neglected  My prefered spec is about 10 miles away ........

......where is that then?

We set up by the steps again...25 fish between two of us. Not bad.

Just a bit of sarcasm on my part....Mariners fishes well,as does the likes of Woodside/Cod corner, but i hate fishing those kind of places.....give me a beach or rock mark and i`m happy

This is my first winter fishing the Mersey. Spent the summer on Ravens Point and Menai Bridge along with two weeks fishing in Cuba!

I'm a newbee really so still trying to suss out where and when is best. The forum is a great help.
