Fresh peeler crab

Just got 20 fresh peeler crab brought up from down south
They are in a bucket with damp/wet seaweed they are not ready for peeling yet so do I
Leave them in bucket for a few days to see if they start to peel or do I
Just freeze em down straight away

Keep them damp in the garage if possible.Give them a drink of fresh sea water every other day and check to see if shell at rear is starting to lift.If you freeze them they will not develop properly.

I''m going to Blackpool tomorrow evening. High water is 18-35. If I finish at the presentation I should be able to get a few liters of seawater. For you.

But if I tell her the crabs will die without fresh sea water she has to give me a pass out
not telling her as soon as they start to peel am going to freeze em :badgrin:
