They like to catch "tiddlers" ,but I was wondering if anything was doing as far as Cod showing at thst side .. I will be chucking out bigger baits in case a cod or two will be around .

Hi, I have been asked to come across with 3 lads who want to have a go at the Town Hall Steps or down toward the Tunnel Vents on Friday Morning early doors fishing 3 hrs up and down a bit, two cant walk too far and certainly dont do cliffs ( I wanted to go to the East Coast, but that is certainly out for them )

Very few cod showing.Mainly whiting and dabs.Town hall steps might be best as vents can be a bit snaggy. Blacks,blowlug,squid and mackie should work.

I will fish a loop rig with 2/0 -1/0 rigs then can be prepared for anything !

good chance of codling on the ebb for a couple of hours nr the baths on that stretch .

Thanks for that Kev, I never considered looking at your match reports. 
It looks like bits may be the order of the day, having said that, with accompanying two lads who are only begginers, and two who cant do cliffs, maybe going West will be the best option for us,seeing as we are about 60 miles from the West Coast and 98 from the East Coast . I would prefer the East coast, where I am familiar with venues, but things are patchy over there, its a case of pot luck on the east coast, some good fish coming out here and there , but no consistency on venues.
At least with THS or Guinea Gap, I can expect some "bits " to show,for the "apprentices ", plus its comfortable in as much as I wont get plastered in mud and clay.
