.nothing doing over low but as soon as the tide turned the hounds started showing an interest in my bait . after 2 massive missed bites ( i think the hounds sometimes pick the bait up then let go ) the 3rd decent bite was on . nothing big just a pup but at least i was off the mark . i switched to fresh worm baits which the hounds seem to like ! , my second hound was pulling hard so i knew i had a better fish on , once i'd landed it i knew by the girth it could be close to my pb of 8lb 
8lb 5 oz so i was well pleased with that . had another another pup about 3 hrs before high , nothing after that so left the beach with about 10 worm for my next session and a pb
.took monday off to have another go , same sketch getting there 2hrs before giving me time to pump and fish over low and into the flood . i took my mate who got me into fishing years ago but now mainly carp and pike fishes . it wasnt long before his rod was nodding away so i was made for him with his first shore caught hound
me mate ended up with 4 pups and i took 3 and a basslet plus about 20 worm
