Another absolute grueller unfolded at Guinea Gap for round 4 with only 5 anglers from 15 weighing in and each of them could only find a single fish across the 4 hours.

Mark Davies with a 24cm Dab, Dylan Kensall, Dale Edwards and Roy Schofield all doing a solitary Plaice each of 26cm, 32cm and 35cm respectively however it was Jeff White who found a lovely marked juvenile Huss of 52cm to take the win……………



Tough going at the moment but that’s fishing, we go again for Round 5………

I had hoped for better in my temporary retirement from the summer/winter league series,but it was not to be,with a whiting smaller than the crab bait hanging itself. Well done to the winners and fish botherers on a good effort.I hope to see you all ASAP.

Well done to those who caught. It must be frustrating when you are stood staring at motionless rods for 4hrs and hopefully fishing will improve for the next round

Baits stripped by hoards of pin whiting nearly every cast.....hopefully improvement by next match

Yeah,was a tough day

A nice huss was taken by another angler just up from where I fished - that fish was 7lb 9oz apparently

Had my first codling of the year also....all 15 cm of it

Next match should produce a bit more hopefully
