Connah,s quay marsh

Post by Darren Godfrey »

Connah,s Quay Marsh is one of my favourite marks as I used to fish there so much as a lad I used to fish the tide 2h up an 2h down you only need a very short cast as the flounder come up the mud back to feed in the head of slack water in front of so you can get away with a 3oz lead if your casting further you'll definitely need a gripper winter you will get whiting an the eels an crabs can be a pain in the summer but a brilliant flounder mark

How to get there dive past dock Road up the connah s Quay hill opposite the flats turn down rock Rd with the China garden on the corner the is uselly loads of places to park down there walk through the Ballards

Take footpath 15 yards down to your left that will take you down on to the Marsh go through the gate follow the path to your right

You'll come to this path through the bull rushes

Go through there fish slight infront of you wellies are a mush a watch the tides as it can flood on big tides an you may end up down a gully so be careful
