Stu was having another go at the Small eyed Ray so thought I would join him this would be my third attempt this year

Got to the beach and it certainty looked Bassy!

High tide was 20:30
Small tide but Rising
GD 2.63m low - 8.38m high
Fished 18:00 - 21:30

After about an hour Stu was in with a nice Ray 3lbs 14oz happy days there here



Shortly followed by a nice Bass for me



New PB 53cm and 2lbs 14oz no monster but still happy with that
Caught on sand eel and squid



Quiet for the next hour with weed being a bit of a pain but what a venue and sunset!










Bit of a slack line







Finally my first cherry popping small eyed weighing 3lbs 15oz

Stu finished off with a dog
Mission accomplished 1 SE Ray each and a first for me plus a new PB Bass

Always good when a plan comes together Dyl. Target species secured and a bonus PB bass is a very satisfying session in my book.

Hit and miss as it’s a flat(ish) Sandy beach. Much better the last couple of years as it’s got deeper with some of the huge storms. There are fish there all year yes but conditions have to be bob on for bass and rays. Need to keep an eye on the weed as it gets plagued at times

Usual suspects all year round. Coleys in the winter, rays spring and autumn.

Brilliant lads one of the best beaches on Anglesey not to far to walk
Nice couple of se rays should start showing in numbers soon

Thanks for that Ty Croes is about 100 miles each way for me [used to go there for the bike racing] probably same distance will give it a go soon while the weather holds cheers mick
