well some of us opted not to walk to the end and some did so we were spaced out along the beach. We all got set up and all in was called at 3.30 , The weed was present but not as bad as the day before and went after the first hour .
the fish were there from the start with bites from the first cast with rob landing his first hound of the day on his first cast, 2 hrs before low they started feeding with hounds coming out the whole length of the beach.
By low water most of us had landed a few hounds and a few dabs were caught up and down the beach then Dave Roberts landed a bonus nice 54cm Bass which would take the longest fish other than a smooth hound on the day .
Chris James was doing well up our end with Dave lunt closing the gap with not 1 but 2 double headers of hounds but we didnt know what or who was catching down the other end so when 3.30 and all in was called it was going to be a close finish on the day. So back in the car park totting up the scores and talking about what was caught and what baits were used Prawn and Crab caught the most on the day, so with the results in it was close so close the cards were double checked and they were all correct top rod on the day was Chris James with 14 hounds for 1061cm followed closely by Rob Turner who had 15 fish for 1010cm with dave lunt close behind with 12 fish for 865cm with Mike Bishton taking the longest fish prize with a nice 98cm hound and Dave Roberts taking the longest other fish pool wit his 54cm Bass. It was a great day with nice weather and a total of 89 hounds,17 dabs and a bass were caught
