Help and feed back please

Not trying to promote my YouTube channel or take anything away from this site .
But if any of you watch sea fishing on Youtube ? Just have a look at this and tell me what you think https://www.youtube.com/@wirral.northwa ... /playlists

I have noticed over the last year even the likes of Youtube has slowed down with either people not doing videos or uploading .
And peoples channels are only getting views on the last few videos that have been uploaded. Not sure if that's because people are just watching recent uploads or YouTube recommended list

I have changed my own channel by only having the latest video up and visible all others are then going private and I just do a video review of each type of species I target through the year and where I target them . IE Wirral or North Wales .
I don't know if what I have done is for the better or not . The way I have it now ???

Some of the fishing video's a lot of people won't like or could not be bothered with ? But I don't care what size the fish are when fishing so long as I am enjoying it and it's good sport.

That's a great resource for people wanting to learn about particular venues, species and tactics.
I'll have a watch of the videos when I get some time.

I don`t know why you have put the other videos as private,as i often like to look back at previous videos for one reason or another....similar to posts/reports on here,they are useful to look back on.The videos on each species are just photo albums to me and serve little purpose....well you did ask

I watch a bit of YouTube, largely channels that are promoted on Facebook fishing groups in local areas as otherwise I wouldn’t stumble upon them. I watch to learn about venues, baits, rigs and of course I enjoy seeing fish caught!

Your session reports and subject vids on bait etc are good and tick all the right boxes, though to be honest I’m not interested in the montages etc. - fish pics without context don’t do it for me.

I suspect most of the popular channels are discovered via facebook or similar rather than searching YouTube - I think you’d probably need exposure in this way to get your channel to grow.

As Kev said, I’d keep the older session vids up too, I find them a useful resource like the old reports on here.

I started the channel as just a video diary of my own fishing with no comments enabled and me always behind the camera ?
That worked for me ? But then people wanted the comments and likes enabled and more detailed information on things I did .
So I left this site to concentrate on the video channel.
But it never really changed anything I just got nice catch /well done / where 's that / how do you get that bait you know what am saying it was just all one-way traffic . So I deleted the public viewing of that channel and tried another way Trying to make it more watchable and interactive this still never got any sort of genuine interaction with other anglers . It was just me spending my own time and effort to be a information library for others that give nothing back .
The videos actually mean nothing to me I could not give a shoot / They are just a visual reminder for myself
Their is no meaningful information in the fishing session video's anyway / and most people I speak to say they just skip through video's and see what fish are in them So they may as well be slideshows or photo reviews.
This also proved to be right too me because all the search on video's I done on Minehead meant nothing when i actually fished there / I learnt more in a quick conversation with Tony from SOMERSET BEACH FISHING
Also if I am staying on this Wirral sea fishing site and doing fishing session reports I would rather spend my time on here with angler's I would have the chance of fishing with or corresponding with on a regular basis and not just being a billy muggins and doing a lot of hard work with time and effort for other anglers that just can't be oops doing any leg work for themselves and just absorb other anglers information .

The way the channel is now Is the original idea I had when starting video's just showing the type of fishing I do around the Wirral and North Wales area. I know nothing about other places as I don't fish them.

Form me am sorry but the video channel will stay as it is / I have tried with it ? and like with this site it's very hard knower day's / I just want to enjoy my fishing / If others think I can help with something am only on the end of a question in a post

It's not very often I bother with YouTube usually just recommend ones and how to video's.
Most of my fishing is match fishing but don't consider myself as a match fisherman, I fish matches mainly for the social side of it and have met alot of great people over the years and made some very good friends as well as learning alot from some of the top anglers in the country. I did watch one of your videos the other night and it was a good watch and reminded me that I should use up and over rigs more than I do but when I watch videos I rarely comment but the next time I meet you I will definitely talk to you about it face to face as I just see comments as just words with no real meaning but saying that I know lots of people who watch loads of videos and really enjoy them and learn from them and I think they are definitely a positive thing for angling so keep them up especially if you enjoy doing them and I'm sure alot of people who watch them Will get alot from them

I enjoy your channel and your brother, Graham's, always good information etc, I will continue to support the channel, even if the new style is not to my liking...
I consider myself just a pleasure angler, and always keen to learn, and the reason I stopped fishing the Matches, is down to my knees being wrecked.
Now I've had one new knee, waiting for the next one, I know I'll be able to walk more and get back to fishing the low water marks again.
But I watch loads of Youtube fishing related content, and enjoy it, there are some "Attitude" types on there, but that's life.....
But of course, this very Forum has given me the most knowledge by far, the WSF people have always been super helpful, and long may it continue.

Total agree with the Wirral sea fishing forum ? I spent 80% of my fishing life without the need for any sort of fishing club's or internet sites.
because I fished with very good friendly pleasure anglers of all ages that just simply got on with each other / We just enjoyed meeting up and enjoyed the time fishing with each other all learning and improving are own fishing skills off each other as we went .
I have said it before for all its up's and down's everyone I know has either been a member or visited this fishing site at some time. / I speak with other angler's and mention this Wirral sea fishing and get a reply like CAN'T BE BOTHERED or their is nothing on it YES THAT'S because people like you MAKE IT THAT WAY
I will also admit I can be one of them ATTIYUDE Youtuber's as I have no tolerance for sly or show off's that use other anglers content
I have also said lot's of time's in the past no angler should be treated as a supper star I know for a fact a lot of YouTube channels only post video's of good fishing sessions never when they have a poor one or blank / The reason for this is either they do it for monetary reasons or notoriety and wanting to show off ? We can all be good anglers if we are willing to take the time and effort and learn from other angler's ? either by fishing with them or swapping post's and reply's on thing's like's of this forum .
Obviously some time's angler's just have period's of good fortune or luck / and some are just lucky anglers in general .

And as Mark has said I would assume but never done this type of fishing myself fishing the Wirral sea fishing matches would help anglers improve their fishing
