Some belters there Brian
Did you fish 3 down 1 up?
Were the fish showing throughout the session?

Thx Dyl No Dyl, I fished 40 mins before low to 2 hrs of the flood, I have struggled on the smaller tides to get worm at Prestatyn so went to Talacre to get worm as I intended to fish Gronant at 2 hours up to H W. after the low water session .I had 7 hounds with my first 4 casts, then I stopped for 20 mins to pump some worm,I had my last fish 2 hrs after low.The 2.5 mt low was probably the ideal height of tide. But with the beach being flat you need chest waders to wade out as far as you can before casting .The other thing to bear in mind is there are always seals in the area ,I always fish with the drag slackened of , back in the Seventies l lost an Abu 464 at Talacre , it took off from the tripod like an Exocet missile.

Seems like the smooth hound fishing has perked up based on recent reports. A high quality and busy session.
