It was a year ago to the day I had my pb bass so with 15mph westerlies and the previous days high winds conditions looked spot on to have a session, low water was 9.20am , got there about 8am to pump some worm , the blacks were decent but a lot of the yellows and blow were quite soft and some were un-usable .it was a big tide so I knew I would get pushed up the beach pretty quickly , fished the whole flood with mostly very small nibbles which I assumed were tops pups , it just goes to show that just because the conditions looked spot on it doesn't mean to say the fish are there ? .Even though I blanked I still enjoyed getting out an more determined and even more so looking forward to my next session

That's usually the way when conditions look good the fish just don't turn up but at least you gave it a go

Good effort Steve and it’s a shame you blanked. Good conditions have certainly given me no guarantees this year at Formby or Hoylake for that matter.I think the only thing I’m reasonably confident about there is that if the conditions aren’t favourable we have nigh on zero chance of bass so all we can do is stack the odds in our favour and hope for the best and keep plugging away.
