Worth a shot tonight?

Afternoon all,
I am contemplating taking a trip down to Crosby this evening for the big tide (~10m just after midnight), but haven't done much evening fishing or fished a tide that size this side of the water.
My question is; do you reckon this would be worth it, and do you think a 7oz gripper would suffice or just worth taking the chance and going for it?

it's usually a low-water venue when I've fished it but it's always worth a go :thumbs-up:
A 7oz should be fine as you'll be well out of the main flow but like I said I've never fished it over High water

Hi shug ,
with the near zero wind/light eaterlies the sea will be pretty flat BUT you might have a chance of a decent bass as they seem to show up this time of year especially when dark , the tide turns around 2 and a half/45 minutes after low water, don't wait for the water to hit the wall either, get onto the beach as you will have longer to fish , good luck and be sure to post a report even if you blank

Seaforth rocks end beach fishes over low water and hall road end can be fished on the flood but don't venture too far out as the beach is pretty flat and the tide races in, I usually use a 5/6oz grip lead
