Round 2 results and report

Round 2 saw 21 of us at a windy vale park the tide took a little longer to go out than I thought so the walkout was delayed but we were all on the beach and ready to go for 2.15 .
It didn't take long until the first fish to hit the beach with Steve Atkinson landing a small ray on his first cast followed shortly after with a small hound was looking promising but it went quite reports came down the that a few fish were coming in this continued throughout the match the wind was constant throughout but the rain held off so it wasn't too bad but the may rot and weed was there throughout the match and a few lost rigs to snagging on the sand bar on the way in. soon enough 4 hours had passed and all in was called so a gentle walk back to the cars. Whilst everyone was chatting I sorted the cards and the results were in. There were a total of 51 fish carded including 8 hounds, 14 ray's and 17 dabs.
Taking first place on the day was John Waugh with a total of 381 cm made up of a small hound a flounder and 12 dabs.

Biggest fish went to will McLintock with a lovely 94cm smooth hound.
Biggest flat fish went to Dylan kensall with 37cm flounder.
Dan Davies was on the golden peg but didn't win it this time.
It was a good day with a few new faces joining us as well.
The next match is our first hound match at talacre on Sunday the 8th of June hopefully see you all there.
